Ms. Eve Galvin is a K-1 classroom teacher at Grayson, bringing over fifteen years of experience in teaching preschool and kindergarten students in schools ranging from small private prep schools in the Philadelphia suburbs to large public schools in the Bronx and Manhattan.
Ms. Galvin is particularly passionate about reading and early literacy, and is eager to share that excitement with her Grayson students. In fact, one of her favorite lessons to teach is a bookmaking project she designed that encourages student authorship by treating their work as important and worthy of “publication” in a “real book” form.
Ms. Galvin holds a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College of Education, and earned her undergraduate degree in English from SUNY-Albany. While she spent time as a consultant on the Nickelodeon program “Blue’s Clues,” we can neither confirm nor deny that she has a big red chair in her house where she thinks about difficult problems.
