Meredith Hafer serves as Academic Dean at The Grayson School. She holds a master’s degree in philosophy from Harvard University and a master’s degree in educational psychology with an emphasis in gifted education from the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut. Most recently, Meredith served as the founding head of school at The Beacon School in Connecticut. As an educator and school leader, she is most passionate about spending her days counseling students, advising families, and guiding teachers on meeting the needs of gifted and twice-exceptional students. She specializes in curriculum, creativity, thinking skills, underachievement, and social-emotional needs.
Meredith is a member of the National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), the Connecticut Association for the Gifted (CAG), and Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG). She specializes in gifted education, acceleration, enrichment, underachievement, creativity, and thinking skills. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys reading, writing, travel, yoga, gardening, and music.
