Your investment enhances Authentic Experiences
Grayson takes its classrooms into the community and brings the community into its classrooms and in-school events. While Projects classes and experiences have always been an integral part of the Grayson curriculum, our students continue to benefit from experiencing the real-world applications of what they are learning with your support.
We have added new and dedicated staff with increasing subject matter expertise and are engaging a growing team of mentors to allow for more in-depth explorations in the fields of business, math, science, humanities, and the arts. These experts support the authentic practices we offer our students.
Open Studio Projects
A pillar of our curricular design, Open Studio projects allow our Upper School students to deeply pursue meaningful, substantial, self-directed academic projects. We teach our students to be creative and analytical thinkers who are dauntless in the face of real-world challenges.
Comp Sci Future Job Fair
Middle School students showcase the websites they built to our community at an investor and recruitment fair held 20 years in the future. Representing nine different industries, our next generation of creators, thinkers, inventors, and innovators are planning great things for our world.
Professional Practice
Students take on even more complex work with your support in their scientific research projects, diving into sophisticated areas such as CRISPR DNA mapping to test their hypotheses with the authentic tools, challenges, and ethical responsibilities of professional practicioners.
The Barnes Foundation
Our partnership with The Barnes includes our Lower School visiting their Collection and participating in the development of “The Art of Looking” program. Middle School students view special exhibitions that form the basis for discussions on their reactions and perspectives of the artist’s work.
Beginning with Pre-K
Our littlest learners are given the freedom to deeply explore their interests in everything from dinosaurs to bugs, blocks and numbers. We always answer their very big questions, and present them with science, math, and construction projects that provide them with engaging new ways to challenge their young minds.
Electives and Clubs
Our continuously expanding range of electives and clubs offer our Middle and Upper School students the time, support, and resources that they need to further develop their interests in aerospace engineering, astronomy, computing, mathematical physics, scientific design, and more.
GO GRYPHONS!
Thanks to your support, our Athletics program is growing and we are adding more sports and competitive teams to our roster every season. Collaboration, cooperation and the joy of play are central to every team. Our Middle School Soccer and Upper School Ultimate Frisbee teams are now competing with other local schools, and Tennis, Cross Country, and Fencing are joining Archery and esports programs for Grayson students.
YOU DESERVE A STANDING OVATION
Our Theatre program provides an opportunity for Grayson students to showcase their talents, both onstage and off. Every Lower School student participated in the production of Dr. Dolittle Jr. in 2022, in areas as diverse as performance, set design, costume design, and production.
After a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, our Middle and Upper School students passionately took on the challenge of the Broadway hit Les Misérables. With new sound equipment, including headset microphones, they brought the house down with their amazing performances.
Your difference adds up
We are very grateful to our donors who are responsible for our ongoing success and sustainability. These families, community partners, local businesses, and corporations support school operations and ongoing professional development of our outstanding faculty through our annual Grateful for Grayson campaign, scholarships for students through the EITC and OSTC tax credit programs, and new and expanded programs for all Grayson students through support of our annual GROW Gala and Fundraiser.
$2,458,275 was raised in 2021-22 for expanded student programs, school operations, and scholarships for students who might not otherwise be able to attend our school.
$1,229,600 in financial aid, provided to 33% of students, with 73% funded through scholarship grants received through Pennsylvania EITC and OSTC tax credit programs.
More than 90% of families, faculty, and staff participate in our fundraising campaigns and appreciation events. We are so grateful for the entire Grayson community.

We are grateful for the environment Grayson creates. It is incredible that a place has been created where children with all different and diverse strengths can grow and thrive. All five of our children attend The Grayson School, from Pre-K through high school.
