P. Susan (Sue) Jackson, founder of The Daimon Institute and creator of the widely praised documentary, RISE: The Extraordinary Journey of the Exceptionally and Profoundly Gifted will present A Parent’s Handbook for understandIng the gifted child. Understanding the exceptionally gifted engineer, the poet, the mathematician, the visual artist, the scientist, the humanitarian, the musician, the historian, the programmer, the designer, the dancer, the nature-lover, the dreamer – a Parent’s Handbook.
Jill Williford Wurman, Director of Research at The Grayson School will present Failure is the only option. An environment in which failure is not only acceptable, but embraced and even sought-after allows young minds to feel free to explore, experiment, and take intellectual risks, and they develop the resilience and creative problem-solving necessary for success in the real world. Jill will share practical, real-world examples of how to embrace the surprising rewards of celebrating failures, in addition to successes!
