Gifted Enrichment: Mathematics of Board Games

Our 5-week online Mathematics after school enrichment class begins September 14!
When playing board games, many people have an implicit understanding that mathematical elements underlie the game they’re playing. Whether it’s probability, combinatorics, game theory or a combination of all three, there’s usually math lurking in the background somewhere.
Fewer people, however, fully understand the underlying mathematics and how to take advantage of patterns and probability to increase their chances of winning the game. We invite your student to join Mr. Derek Graves, Advanced Mathematics Teacher at The Grayson School, for an engaging and popular course at our school and to meet new friends online who share their interests and love of Mathematics.
Grades 5-8
Mondays, September 14 through October 26 (5 weeks); Please note: There are no classes on September 28 and October 12
