All Grayson parents are a part of the Grayson Parent Association (GPA) and are welcome to get involved in our school.
Opportunities to participate in meetings, presentations and events are in our weekly newsletter, or look for emails from your class parents.
It was great seeing so many of you at our meeting in December. Our most important order of business is to secure nominations for 2019-20 GPA positions. Please see details below. GPA President – Oversees all aspects of the GPA, regularly scheduled meetings with school liaison and Programming Chair. Responsible for collecting and properly distributing GPA collected funds. Plans and Leads 3-4 GPA meetings per year.
Programming Chairperson – Oversees GPA Committees, meets with GPA President on a monthly basis.
The following positions require leadership for one or two events during the year and while you must be present at the event you are in charge of, most work is done remotely on your schedule!
Teacher Appreciation Co-chairs – Plan and Lead Teacher Appreciation Lunch and Teacher Appreciation Week.
Community Service Committee – (2-4 members) who plan and implement 2-3 community service projects for students and families each school year.
Parent Appreciation/Fundraising Committee – (3-5 members) plans and implements 3-4 events each year that serve that serve as family appreciation events while raising funds to cover teacher appreciation initiatives as well as library resources.
Grayson Community Engagement Committee – (2-4 members) responsible for welcoming new families and engaging current families.
Bookfair Co-chairs – Plan and implement book fair (will be in Spring 2020)
Class Parents – Organize 2 opportunities for class families to connect outside of school hours.

What a great way to recognize this day with your child and their friends — not just a Monday holiday off from school — but out in the greater community where we live, in service to others.
