It’s the 3rd week in July, so at Grayson we are excited to celebrate National Parenting Gifted Children (NPGC) Week! Parents deserve this recognition for all that they do to help their gifted children to excel and reach their full potential. We especially want to recognize the incredible parents at our school, who believe in our mission and who are the #DefendersofWonder in their children’s lives everyday.

The National Parenting Gifted Children Week celebration is hosted by Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted (SENG). Along with the National Organization for Gifted Children (NAGC), these organizations provide parents with important resources and support. Share these resources with your teachers, friends and family members who can also benefit from their work in the gifted community.
NAGC’s Parenting for High Potential is the magazine “designed for parents who want to make a difference in their children’s lives, who want to develop their children’s gifts and talents, and who want to help them develop their potential to the fullest.”
There are also a number of resources and tools available from NAGC to help your child succeed.
SENG Webinars (SENGinars) give you access to the latest presentations from experts in the gifted field! These 90-minute webinars are designed expressly for parents, educators and mental health professionals who work with gifted children.
SENG’s free resource library includes original and reprinted articles and columns, organized by topic, as well as a growing collection of audio and visual media.
