Angelica Ruiz

Angelica Ruiz teaches Spanish at The Grayson School. Ms. Ruiz comes to Grayson after ten years of teaching around the globe at International Baccalaureate schools from Colombia to Dubai. She believes in bringing her diverse knowledge of different cultures to her teaching, and she looks forward to sharing this global perspective with Grayson’s Lower, Middle, and Upper School students.

Ms. Ruiz holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from the Universidad Industrial de Santander and a post graduate degree in Social Management of Education from the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional in Bogotá. She is currently working towards a master’s degree in Languages & Cultures at West Chester University. She believes that by first connecting with her students and establishing a strong relationship with them, she can empower her students to learn anything.

Originally from Bucaramanga, Colombia, the “city of parks,” Ms. Ruiz enjoys visiting her family and experiencing the amazing food (arepas, anyone?) and perfect weather of her hometown.  Ms. Ruiz is married to a math teacher, and together they enjoy the outdoors, hiking, and traveling.
