Kara Weiner teaches grades 2-3 at The Grayson School. Ms. Weiner joined the Grayson team in 2018 as an Assistant Teacher. Shepreviously taught Preschool at The Goddard School, and K-5 high level students in small group settings at Pennell Elementary, where as a long-term substitute, led 5th grade STEM club students to a county-level competition.
Ms. Weiner holds a B.A. in Psychology from Muhlenberg College. During college, she studied abroad in France and was an active community service volunteer. She cites her experience in supervising a 10-week sleep-away camp program as helping her to bring interactive learning, movement, and creativity into her classroom. Ms. Weiner believes in helping her students to pursue their areas of interest with curiosity and passion, and inspires them to make connections with other topics.
Ms. Weiner loves the outdoors, whether she is reading outside, finding new hiking paths, or swimming. She also enjoys cooking and traveling. Iceland is her favorite place that she has been to (so far!).
