Ms. Weiner joined the Grayson team in 2018 and teaches grades 2-3. She has taught both Pre-K and elementary students prior to Grayson, and has a particular passion for Science. Ms. Weiner believes that children have an intrinsic desire to learn and a natural curiosity. She shares, “I love helping children follow those curiosities to find their passion and pull those interests into everything they learn.”
Ms. Weiner holds a B.A. in Psychology from Muhlenberg College, and has earned certifications in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), Wilson Language Training Fundations, and Fountas and Pinnell reading systems. She is trained in Critical Reading Inventories (CRI) and the University of Oregon DIBELS screening systems.
Ms. Weiner is inspired by her experience growing up in camps and supervising sleep-away camp programs to bring interactive learning, movement, and creativity into her classroom. She loves being outdoors, hiking in the mountains or taking long walks, reading a good fiction novel, and listening to music.
