Mr. Hartman teaches computer science at The Grayson School, bringing with him years of experience in both public and independent schools. In addition to providing instruction, he also has substantial experience developing curriculum in computer science, business technology, video editing, and web design, with an emphasis on cross-curricular design and blended learning environments. His innovative and holistic approach to teaching has also included introducing a mindfulness curriculum for use with middle schoolers.
Outside of technology instruction, Mr. Hartman has also worked with organizations focusing on fostering global understanding to lead student groups on international trips, including trips to Thailand and Mexico, to enrich students’ cultural understanding.
Mr. Hartman has also spent a decade coaching varsity basketball at Philadelphia University and at several Philadelphia-area high schools. In addition to his study in education and computer science, he holds a BFA in photography from Saint Joseph’s University. Mr. Hartman also has a dramatic streak: he enjoys doing improv and stand-up comedy and is now working on a screenplay of his own.
